City Offices Closed Memorial Day, City to Host Service |

Centerville City Offices will be closed Monday, May 28 in commemoration of Memorial Day. Waste collection will be delayed one day throughout the week. The annual Memorial Day ceremony is at 9:00 a.m. at the Veterans Memorial in Stubbs Park, 255 W. Spring Valley Road. In case of rain, the event will move to the Centerville Police Department, 155 W. Farmers Market runs May 17 through October 25 |

The Centerville Farmers Market will be held every Thursday from May 17 through October 25. The market sets up in the parking lot of the Centerville Shopping Center located at 892 S. Main Street (just north of the intersection of State Route 48 & Spring Valley Road). Hours are normally 2:30 - 6:30 pm. Admission is free and there is plenty of free parking available. Art Gallery Features Alison Bour in May, Reception 5/18 |

The Centerville Arts Commission is pleased to host "Break the Mold", a photography and artwork exhibit by Alison Bour in the Art Gallery at the Centerville Police Department for May. The Police Headquarters are located at 155 W. Spring Valley Road in Centerville. The Centerville Arts Commission will host a reception on Friday, May 18 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Art Gallery at the Police Department to introduce the collection to the community. Alison Bour will be present to meet the public, and light refreshments will be served.

The Heart of Centerville begins their 2012 series of summer evenings, 3rd Fridays After Hours on May 18 from 6-9 p.m. for “Art in the Heart”. The Heart of Centerville is partnering with the Centerville Arts Commission to put on this free community event featuring a group of local artists scattered throughout the one block area surrounding the corner of Main St. and Franklin St. The goal is to not only show and sell art, but to draw people into the artist’s individual creative process. The artists will be outside the area businesses, demonstrating their art. Many will also offer interactive experiences.
